Installation
After purchase, you'll download the installer. Once the installation is complete, the app shortcuts will be created automatically.
Starting the Server
Run the app launcher to start the server. It usually takes less than a minute, but the time may vary depending on your system configuration.
Authentication
The local server runs on port 8080 of your machine.
To authenticate the app and unlock cloud features such as Google Calendar and Google Drive integration, go to http://localhost:8080/authorize.
Since the app has not yet been verified by Google, a warning message will appear stating that the app isn’t verified. Click "Advanced" and then "Continue" to proceed with the authentication.
Click the button to continue the authentication process and accept the required permissions.
Dental Manager requires the following permissions:
- Create, modify, read, delete, and update your calendar and appointments.
- Read, edit, create and delete the backup files you generate with DentalManager to your Google Drive.
Select all requested permissions and click "Allow" to grant access.
Until the authentication process is completed, the app will redirect you to the login screen, where you can sign in with your username and password. Once you're logged in, the program will display a message showing the server’s IP address. With this IP, you can access the app from other devices connected to the same local network.
Note: To use the Google sync features, you must authenticate via /authorize each time you run the app.
Secondary Calendar
The app creates a dedicated calendar in your Google account. This keeps your personal and professional life separate while giving you quick access to your schedule wherever you are.
Adding a New Patient
Using the third icon in the main menu, you can enter the patient's information.
If the patient has a Gmail address, Google Calendar will automatically send them a notification to confirm the appointment. Their calendar will also show an entry with the appointment's date, time, title, and description.
If a valid email is not provided, the appointment will be saved in the database, but you’ll need to confirm it with the patient manually.
Accessing Patient Records
Using the second icon in the main menu, you’ll find the patient records section, which includes a search function.
Odontogram
In this section, you can add procedures for each session and filter them by tooth by clicking on the corresponding image.
Sessions can be edited or deleted using the buttons on the right.
Managing Payments
You can add, edit, and delete payment records for each patient.
When you create a payment, it will automatically be linked to the currently open patient file—whose name appears below the container.
The last three fields contain payment information that is auto-filled. If you complete any two of these fields, the third will be calculated automatically (as long as one of the fields is left empty).
The checkboxes on the left allow you to select payments to add them to the print queue. To print them, go to the Print tab and generate the payment reports.
Documents
In the Print section, you can generate medical certificates, prescriptions, and payment reports.
Once you select the document type, you can print it directly or save it for later editing. The app will display the save location once the file is generated.
The professional ID number is stored in the database after the first time you enter it, so there’s no need to retype it each time.
Prescriptions come with an autocomplete system for commonly used medications. If the medicine you need isn’t on the list, just type it in manually.
Settings
In the Settings section, you'll find the option to create a backup. If you're signed in with your Google account, the backup will automatically be uploaded to your Google Drive.
This gives you a secure off-device copy in case your local server has any issues.
Once you click the backup button, wait for the confirmation alert letting you know it was created successfully.
Below, you’ll also find the Restore Backup button. The app will restore the latest available backup from the backup folder.
You can also set the automatic backup frequency and change the app’s language.
Creating an Appointment
Click the day and time you want to schedule the appointment, and the app will fill in those details automatically.
It will also insert the name of the patient currently being viewed.
Click outside the container to close it.
Google Calendar Sync
You might notice that the appointment appears twice—this happens because I used my own email to show how it looks from both the dentist’s and the client’s perspective.
At first, the appointment will appear unconfirmed. Once the patient confirms it, its color will change to the standard one. The event will be added to the patient’s primary calendar.
In the dentist’s view, the appointment will show up in the DentalManager calendar. You can filter which calendars are visible by checking or unchecking the boxes on the left.
How to Shut Down the Server
To shut down the server, it’s not enough to just close the browser window.
In the Settings section, you’ll find a Shut Down Server button. This properly closes the database and prevents data corruption.
You'll receive an alert once the server shuts down successfully.
Instalación
Al comprar descargarás el archivo referente a tu sistema operativo, extrae el archivo. En Windows el programa ya está listo para uso. En Linux sólo tienes que instalar el .deb.
Arrancar el servidor
Ejecuta el lanzador de la app para levantar el servidor. En Windows ejecuta el archivo .exe y en Linux ejecuta el lanzador del programa desde el lanzador de programas de tu distribución. Suele tardar menos de un minuto para levantar el servidor, pero el tiempo puede variar según las configuraciones de tu máquina.
Autenticación
El servidor local funciona en el puerto 8080 de tu máquina. Para autenticar la app y poder disfrutar de las funciones Cloud con Google Calendar y Google Drive debes dirigirte a la ruta localhost:8080/authorize. Pulsa el botón para seguir con el proceso de autenticación y acepta los requisitos de Google Calendar y Google Drive.
Serás redireccionado a la pantalla de login para acceder a la app. Una vez autenticado, el programa te enseñará una alerta con la IP del servidor. Con esta IP podrás acceder a la app desde otros dispositivos que se encuentren conectados en la misma red.
Para disfrutar de las funciones de sincronización con Google debes autenticar la app en /authorize al menos una vez cada vez que ejecutes la app.
Calendario secundario
La app crea un calendario dedicado a ella en tu cuenta. Esto mantiene tu vida privada y profesional por separado, y a la vez posibilita tener un acceso rápido a tu agenda estés donde estés.
Agregando un nuevo paciente
En el tercer icono del menú principal puedes rellenar los datos del paciente. Si el paciente tiene un email de Gmail, Google Calendar se encargará de confirmar la consulta vía notificación.
En el calendario del paciente también aparecerá una entrada con la fecha, hora, título y descripción de la consulta.
Si no se inserta un email válido, la consulta será creada en la base de datos, pero tendrás que confirmar el paciente manualmente.
Abriendo la documentación del paciente
En el segundo icono del menú principal encontrarás la sección del paciente que contiene la búsqueda.
Odontograma
En esta sección puedes insertar los procedimientos de cada sesión y filtrarlos por diente pulsando sobre la imagen del diente en cuestión. Las sesiones se pueden editar y borrar con los botones de la derecha.
Gestionando los pagos
Permite insertar, editar y borrar informaciones referentes a los pagos de los pacientes. Al crear un pago en esta sección, automáticamente el programa lo asociará al paciente que tiene la ficha abierta. Puedes ver el nombre del paciente abajo del contenedor.
Los tres últimos campos que contienen la información de pago se autorellenan automáticamente. Si has rellenado al menos dos de estos campos, el tercero se calcula automáticamente, siempre que uno esté vacío.
Las casillas de la izquierda te permiten seleccionar los pagos para agregarlos a la fila de impresión. Para imprimirlos, ve a la pestaña de impresión e imprime los informes de pago.
Documentos
En el apartado de impresión puedes generar el certificado médico, prescripción e informes de pago. Una vez selecciones el documento que quieres, puedes imprimirlo directamente o guardarlo para editarlo.
El programa te enseñará la ruta de guardado una vez se genere el archivo. El número del profesional se almacenará en la base de datos después de que lo insertes por primera vez.
Las prescripciones cuentan con un sistema de autocompletado con algunas de las medicinas más utilizadas. Si necesitas prescribir alguna medicina que no se encuentre en la lista, sólo tienes que escribir en el campo.
Configuraciones
En el apartado de configuración encontrarás la opción para hacer un backup. Si estás autenticado con tu cuenta de Google, el backup se subirá automáticamente a Google Drive. Esto permite tener el backup fuera de tu máquina.
Una vez presiones el botón, aguarda hasta que aparezca la alerta confirmando que el backup fue generado exitosamente.
Abajo encontrarás el botón para restaurar el backup. El programa restaurará el último backup disponible en la carpeta correspondiente.
También puedes definir la frecuencia de los backups automáticos y el idioma.
Creando un agendamiento
Si haces clic en el día y hora que quieres agregar la consulta, el programa rellenará estas informaciones por defecto. También rellenará el nombre del paciente que tenga una ficha abierta. Pulsa fuera del contenedor para cerrarlo.
Sincronización con Google Calendar
Si ves que la consulta se generó dos veces, es porque usaste tu propio email para ver cómo se ve desde el punto de vista del odontólogo y del paciente.
De inicio el agendamiento se verá sin relleno; una vez el paciente lo confirme, cambiará su color al tradicional. El evento se agregará al calendario primario del paciente.
En el calendario del odontólogo, la consulta se verá en el calendario de DentalManager. Puedes filtrar los calendarios marcando y desmarcando las casillas de la izquierda.
¿Cómo apagar el servidor?
Para apagar el servidor no basta con cerrar la ventana del navegador. En el apartado de configuración encontrarás el botón de apagar el servidor. Esto se encarga de cerrar correctamente la base de datos y evitar que los datos se corrompan.
Recibirás una alerta si el servidor se apagó correctamente.

Installation
Nach dem Kauf lädst du das Installationspaket herunter. Entpacke die ZIP-Dateien entsprechend deinem Betriebssystem. Unter Windows führst du die .exe Datei aus, unter Linux installierst du das .deb Paket.
Server starten
Starte die Anwendung, um den Server zu starten. Unter Linux wird eine Verknüpfung im Programmstarter erstellt, du musst sie nur ausführen. In der Regel dauert das Starten des Servers weniger als eine Minute, kann aber je nach Konfiguration deines Systems variieren.
Authentifizierung
Der lokale Server läuft auf dem Port 8080 deines Rechners. Um die App zu
authentifizieren und Cloud-Funktionen wie Google Calendar und Google Drive
nutzen zu können, rufe die Adresse
localhost:8080/authorize auf. Klicke auf die Schaltfläche, um
den Authentifizierungsprozess zu starten, und akzeptiere die Bedingungen für
Google Calendar und Google Drive.
Du wirst anschließend zum Login-Bildschirm weitergeleitet. Nach erfolgreicher Anmeldung zeigt dir das Programm eine Warnung mit der IP Adresse des Servers. Mit dieser IP kannst du von anderen Geräten im selben Netzwerk auf die App zugreifen.
Damit die Google-Synchronisation funktioniert, musst du die App bei jedem
Start mindestens einmal unter /authorize authentifizieren.
Sekundärer Kalender
Die App erstellt einen eigenen Kalender in deinem Google-Konto. So bleiben dein Privatleben und deine Arbeit getrennt, während du überall schnellen Zugriff auf deine Termine hast.
Einen neuen Patienten hinzufügen
Im dritten Symbol des Hauptmenüs kannst du die Patientendaten eingeben. Wenn der Patient eine Gmail-Adresse hat, übernimmt Google Calendar die Bestätigung des Termins per Benachrichtigung.
Im Kalender des Patienten erscheint ein Eintrag mit Datum, Uhrzeit, Titel und Beschreibung des Termins. Ohne gültige E-Mail wird der Termin nur in der Datenbank gespeichert und muss manuell bestätigt werden.
Patientendokumentation öffnen
Im zweiten Symbol des Hauptmenüs findest du den Patientenbereich mit Suchfunktion.
Zahnstatus (Odontogramm)
Hier kannst du die Behandlungen jeder Sitzung erfassen und nach Zahn filtern, indem du auf das jeweilige Zahn-Bild klickst. Sitzungen können rechts bearbeitet oder gelöscht werden.
Zahlungen verwalten
Du kannst Zahlungsinformationen für Patienten hinzufügen, bearbeiten und löschen. Beim Erstellen einer Zahlung wird diese automatisch dem aktuell geöffneten Patienten zugeordnet (der Name erscheint unten im Container).
Die letzten drei Felder mit Zahlungsinformationen werden automatisch ausgefüllt: Wenn du mindestens zwei Felder ausfüllst, wird das dritte berechnet (eins der Felder muss dafür leer bleiben).
Die Kontrollkästchen links erlauben dir, Zahlungen für den Druck auszuwählen. Zum Drucken gehe auf den Reiter Druck und wähle die Zahlungsberichte.
Dokumente
Unter dem Menüpunkt Drucken kannst du medizinische Bescheinigungen, Rezepte und Zahlungsberichte erstellen. Sobald du das gewünschte Dokument ausgewählt hast, kannst du es direkt drucken oder speichern, um es zu bearbeiten.
Nach dem Erstellen zeigt dir das Programm den Speicherpfad an. Die Berufsnummer wird in der Datenbank gespeichert, sobald du sie einmal eingegeben hast. Eine erneute Eingabe ist dann nicht notwendig.
Rezepte beinhalten eine Autovervollständigungsfunktion für häufig verwendete Medikamente. Falls ein Medikament fehlt, kannst du es einfach selbst eintippen.
Einstellungen
Im Bereich Einstellungen findest du die Backup-Funktion. Wenn du mit deinem Google-Konto authentifiziert bist, wird das Backup automatisch auf Google Drive hochgeladen.
Nach dem Klick auf den Backup-Button warte, bis die Bestätigung erscheint, dass das Backup erfolgreich erstellt wurde.
Darunter befindet sich der Button zum Wiederherstellen des Backups. Das Programm stellt automatisch das letzte verfügbare Backup aus dem Ordner wieder her.
Du kannst außerdem die Häufigkeit automatischer Backups und die Sprache festlegen.
Einen Termin erstellen
Wenn du auf den gewünschten Tag und die Uhrzeit klickst, füllt das Programm diese Felder automatisch aus, ebenso den Namen des aktuell ausgewählten Patienten. Klicke außerhalb des Containers, um ihn zu schließen.
Synchronisierung mit Google Calendar
Du wirst sehen, dass der Termin doppelt erscheint. Das liegt daran, dass ich meine eigene E-Mail-Adresse verwendet habe, um dir beide Perspektiven zu zeigen: die des Zahnarztes und die des Patienten.
Zunächst ist der Termin transparent. Sobald der Patient ihn bestätigt, ändert sich die Farbe.
Im Kalender des Patienten erscheint der Termin im Hauptkalender, im Kalender des Zahnarztes im DentalManager-Kalender. Du kannst Kalender filtern, indem du die Kästchen auf der linken Seite an- oder abwählst.
Wie wird der Server ausgeschaltet?
Das Schließen des Browserfensters reicht nicht aus. Im Einstellungsmenü findest du eine Schaltfläche zum Ausschalten des Servers. Sie sorgt für das korrekte Herunterfahren der Datenbank, um Datenverluste zu vermeiden.
Du erhältst eine Benachrichtigung, wenn der Server erfolgreich ausgeschaltet wurde.

Ao criar um pagamento nesta seção, o programa automaticamente o associa ao paciente com ficha aberta, você verá o nome do paciente abaixo do contêiner.
Os três últimos campos que contêm as informações do pagamento são preenchidos automaticamente: se você preencher pelo menos dois deles, o terceiro será calculado automaticamente, desde que um dos três esteja vazio.
As caixas à esquerda permitem selecionar pagamentos para adicioná-los à fila de impressão. Para imprimi-los, vá até a aba de impressão e imprima os relatórios de pagamento.
Documentos
Na aba de impressão, você pode gerar o atestado médico, prescrições e relatórios de pagamento.
Depois de selecionar o documento desejado, você pode imprimi-lo diretamente ou salvá-lo para edição. O programa mostrará o caminho onde o arquivo foi salvo após a geração.
O número do profissional será salvo no banco de dados depois da primeira inserção, então se você já o preencheu, não precisa fazê-lo novamente.
As prescrições contam com um sistema de preenchimento automático com alguns dos medicamentos mais usados. Se precisar prescrever algo que não esteja na lista, basta digitar no campo.
Configurações
Na aba de configurações, você encontrará a opção para fazer backup.
Se estiver autenticado com sua conta Google, o backup será enviado automaticamente para o Google Drive. Isso facilita manter o backup fora do seu computador, em caso de algum problema no servidor local.
Depois de clicar no botão, aguarde até que apareça um alerta confirmando que o backup foi gerado com sucesso.
Abaixo, você encontrará o botão para restaurar o backup. O programa restaurará o último backup disponível na pasta de backups.
Você também pode definir a frequência dos backups automáticos e o idioma.
Criando um agendamento
Se você clicar no dia e hora desejados para a consulta, o programa preencherá essas informações automaticamente. Também será preenchido o nome do paciente com ficha aberta.
Clique fora da janela de agendamento e dentro do calendário para fechá-lo.
Sincronização com o Google Calendar
Você pode notar que a consulta foi criada em duplicidade, isso aconteceu porque eu usei meu próprio e-mail para mostrar como aparece tanto para o dentista quanto para o cliente.
Inicialmente, o agendamento aparecerá sem preenchimento, mas quando o paciente confirmar, ele mudará de cor para o tradicional. O evento será adicionado ao calendário principal do paciente.
No calendário do dentista, a consulta aparecerá no calendário do DentalManager. Você pode filtrar os calendários marcando ou desmarcando as caixas à esquerda.
Como desligar o servidor?
Para desligar o servidor, não basta fechar a janela do navegador. Na aba de configurações, há um botão específico para desligar o servidor, isso garante o fechamento correto do banco de dados e evita corrupção de dados. Você receberá um alerta se o servidor for encerrado com sucesso.
